My Genealogy Story
I started working with my parents in middle school on our family history. At the age of 14, I got hooked when I discovered a short biography of a great uncle in History of Bradford County, Pennsylvania, with Biographical Selections. This short biography opened the doors to a 30-year journey to discovering the identities of 30 of 32 of my Great Great Great Grandparents.

Some of the highlights of my genealogical research for my family have been:
-
Visiting my GGG Grandfather's house in County Clare, Ireland
-
Discovering my GG Grandfather's baptism record and parents in County Waterford, Ireland
-
Discovering my GG Grandmother's Danish ancestry and visiting her home county in Denmark
-
Compiling a family history of over 10,000 individuals, 541 ancestors, and 17 generations
-
Connecting myself to distant cousins Winston Churchill and George W. Bush

In my thirty years of research, I have researched in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Utah, Washington, DC, and Ireland. I have experience using records from Ireland, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands. While many records are available online through paid subscriptions, not all sources are so readily available.
Recently, I have expanded to doing research for clients. My full-time job is teaching. I will be able to take on clients as my time allows. I hope to bring on at least two or three clients during the summer of 2022.

I am excited to work with you to discover your family’s past. I am based in Iowa City, IA.
